Advanced Agility Training - Competition Canine aka Comp K9

Agility – Advanced

This class focuses on handling, course analysis, and independent performance. Dogs must have consistent performance on the contacts, weaves and be able to work well with the handler under distraction. Distance work and games strategy is introduced and perfected. Dogs in this class are currently showing or ready to show. Friday class is a mix of Advanced/Intermediate dogs. Class Fees: $20/class/month. Paid monthly. Students may join class at any time during the month by paying fees for the number of sessions left in the month.

Agility – Beginning

This class starts to put it all together. Dogs must have a solid sit or down stay, be able to perform most, if not all obstacles, understand basic obstacle chaining and be able perform as part of a team with their handler. Class fees are billed $20 per session if paid monthly. Choose the number of weeks in the month. Students may join class at any time during the month by paying fees for the number of sessions left in the month. or paid at class as drop in $25 per session. There may be Intermediate dogs in this class.

Intermediate Agility - Competition Canine aka Comp K9

Agility – Intermediate

This class focuses on continuity, command placement, setting a line and introduces various types of challenges seen on course, teaches beginning course analysis and prepares dogs and handlers as they begin to compete. Dogs must be able to consistently perform obstacles independently and take direction while running the course at speed. Class fees are billed $25 per session paid monthly.  Students may join class at any time during the month by paying fees for the number of sessions left in the month. Drop in Fee $25 per session paid at class. There may be Advanced Beginner dogs in this class.

One Hour Semi-Private Agility Instruction for groups up to four dogs. Enroll  and a trainer will contact you directly to set a date and time. All attendees must register for the class separately. Class Fee: $25/hour/student Minimum $100/hour

Agility Course Test

AKC Sanctioned Agility Course Test. Offering 2 rounds each in ACT-I, ACT-II, ACT-I Jumpers, ACT-II Jumpers  on Sunday 8/20/2023

$15 per run or 4 runs for $50 per level per dog (i.e. 2 rounds of ACT I and 2 rounds of ACT I Jumpers runs for $50 or 2 rounds of ACT II and 2 rounds of ACT II Jumpers runs for $50).

Agility Foundation 1

It all begins with introducing the dog to the obstacles, teaching basic jumping skills, the travel board, drive work and learning to work independently. This class covers the basics needed to get started in the sport.

Agility Foundation 2

This class begins where Foundation 1 left off and polishes skills with a focus on independent contacts and solid weaves. Beginning handling, advanced chaining and basic rules common to all organizations are included. Prerequisite Foundation 1 or Instructor Approval

Conformation Workshop

5 week workshop on conformation training and handling skills taught by professional handler, Lily Bennett. Two Sessions to Choose From each 1.5 hours long. Dog/Handler teams $150.00 Auditors $50. Limit 10 working teams. Drop Ins available at $35 per day.

Contacts Workshop

Agility dogs need to have clean, consistent and fast contacts. This workshop will assess your dog’s skills and build on them to get a positioned as well as a running contact on all three contact obstacles. Bring your dog’s favorite treats, toys and ball. Workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fee: $25

Fetch Workshop

This workshop starts with an evaluation of your dog’s skills, reviews the rules for Fetch levels and covers basic skills needed. Dogs will learn to hold a stay under distraction (bumper or ball being thrown), take a line to the object and bring it back to hand. Workshop is open to dogs of any age. Workshop is from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Bring your favorite toy, bumper or ball and lots of treats. Workshop Fee: $25

Learn to maximize your dog’s skills and times by giving clear, concise commands on every course. This workshop will focus on the “other” team member help you to learn to memorize courses better, place commands concisely and make strategic movements to increase your chance of qualifying. Bring your dog’s favorite toys, treats and ball. Workshop from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fee $25

Independent Weaves Workshop

Regardless of your dog’s size, the weave poles provide a challenge. This workshop will help you analyze your dog’s skill level, maximize your training and help you get a leg up on this vital skill. Workshop with multiple instructors will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Bring your dog’s favorite treats, toys and come prepared to learn and have fun while teaching your dog to weave better.  Workshop Fee: $25
