Canine Good Citizen Program
The Canine Good Citizen program was created by the American Kennel Club to help dogs and their owners learn more basic skills to help them navigate an increasingly demanding world. The program is open to any dog over 6 months of age, purebred and mixed breeds. Dogs learn and perform a series of skills to earn titles at that level.
At Comp K9 we strongly believe that every dog should have a CGC title which is why all our beginning obedience classes include a CGC test at no additional charge. Puppy Classes include a Star Puppy test at no additional charge.
Having a CGC title on your dog can help you find housing, or decrease your homeowners or renters insurance plus your dog is just easier to live with. The program is a great way to get involved while increasing your dog’s confidence and enhancing your relationship with your furry friend.
Classes and Testing Offered
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test
If your dog is not enrolled in one of our beginning obedience classes but you want to get your certificate, request a canine good citizen test. One of our evaluators will contact you once we receive your registration. CGC is open to all dogs over the age of 6 months Evaluation Fee: $30 per dog.
SEMI-PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
We offer semi-private instruction for groups up to four dogs at a time a date that is convenient for you. All Semi-Private Instruction is in one-hour increments. Enroll for the instruction and a trainer will contact you directly to set a date and time. All attendees must register for the class separately. Class Fee: $80/hour/student

Classes are kept small so we can individualize instruction to maximize your results (6-8 students).
