AKC AGILITY COURSE TEST (ACT) April 28, 2024
The AKC Agility Course Test (ACT) is designed for handlers and dogs just starting in the sport to gain ring experience without putting too much pressure on the team. Courses in Standard and Jumpers are offered with the ability to earn titles in both types of at two levels. Level 1 in Standard is jumps, tunnels and the A-Frame. Level 2 has jumps, tunnels, A-Frame, teeter and 6 weaves. There are 10-12 obstacles with no runouts or refusals scored. Level 1 in Jumpers is just jumps and tunnels. Level 2 has jumps, tunnels and 6 weaves. There are 10-12 obstacles with no run outs or refusals scored.
Purebred and Mixed Breed dogs may participate but must be registered with AKC. Register on line at https://www.akc.org/register/dog/
Permanent height card measurements at the ACT are available for any dog 15 months or older.

SCENT DOG ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA (SDA) GALA
Tired of never getting into trials? Frustrated with trying to figure out if you've completed a title? Join SDA and hunt odors, rats, articles, and more. SDA was created to make hunting and trialing fun again. Our gala is to introduce this new association. $25 registers your dog with SDA (lifetime). There will be lots of fun games to choose from at the Gala. Entry for the games at the gala is free. We'll send you the rules and game information as soon as it's available (est. May 15, 2024) Comp K9 will be sponsoring multiple SDA events in 2024. Come play with us!
Kidz Kamp 2024 - July 14 through August 4
Mark your Calendars for 2024. Kidz Kamp is free and we are taking camper sign-ups now. The Comp K9 4 week camp for juniors meets every Sunday for a two hour training session in multiple disciplines. Campers learn basics in agility, obedience, tricks, disc dogs, critter hunting, dog crafts and canine health and wellness and more. Camp is open to any junior from 6 to 18. We have a limited number of "loaner" dogs for families with more kids than dogs.

PORTRAITS WITH SANTA SUNDAY DECEMBER 7
Linda Blake of Karma Rocks Photography and her crew will be doing portraits of your dogs and family. There are different backgrounds to choose from: Santa, Christmas, and Winter for a $30 donation to Performance ResQ, Inc. Lots of costumes available to use. We will contact you to schedule a setting time for anyone pre-registering. Calls will be made the week before or just after Thanksgiving.
